Business Enhancement & Retention Mission:
To add value and align resources to enhance economic development complimenting our existing business community

2010 GOAL: Develop a Shop Our Member’s campaign focusing on local area shopping and support.

Business Enhancement & Retention Commitments:
? To assist, enhance and retain existing businesses in the area.
? Provide the business community with quarterly Business Educational and Informational Sessions with networking opportunities. Host, plan and facilitate the Business Leadership Training Program every other year.
? Maintain ongoing open communication and interaction with the community for use in understanding changes and/or trends affecting the local business economy.
? Identify barriers and struggles that are faced from the business perspective by using the Grow MN! program. Identify ways to get around these and share this information with all Chamber members.
? Maintain and enhance the shop our member’s campaign.
? Promote what is currently available via chamber membership, encourage members to become or remain active and advocate for new business people to join the Chamber.
Partnerships
? Continue strong participation and leadership in the Cloquet Economic Development Partnership Group.
? Actively support and participate in the Trail Committee’s current initiatives, planning and coordination.
