The Tourism Committee works to showcase the Cloquet area as a destination to live, work, play, and explore. Through marketing, partnerships, and visitor resources, the committee helps strengthen tourism and support the local economy.

Tourism Committee Commitments

Tourism Marketing

Promote the Cloquet area through regional advertising, tourism publications, Explore Minnesota, digital marketing, sporting events, and other targeted campaigns that encourage visitors to explore our community.

Tourism Grant Program

Administer the Chamber's Tourism Grant Program to help market local events, support tourism initiatives, and gather visitor demographics and attendance data to measure community impact.

Visitor Resources

Develop, update, and distribute visitor information, including tourism brochures, trail maps, walking and biking guides, historical information, relocation packets, and other resources that help visitors discover the Cloquet area.

Digital Tourism

Maintain and enhance the Visit Cloquet website by keeping content current, tracking website traffic, monitoring visitor trends, and improving the online visitor experience.

Regional Partnerships

Represent the Cloquet area by participating in regional tourism organizations, quarterly Northeast Minnesota Tourism meetings, and the Explore Minnesota Conference while building partnerships that strengthen tourism across the region.

Tourism Growth & Community Awareness

Research new tourism opportunities, including snowmobile, ATV, and OHV trail marketing, while keeping Chamber members and area residents informed through newsletters, website updates, and annual tourism reports.
